Synopsis

Based loosely on the book "The Vicomte de Bragelonne" by Alexandre Dumas and filmed on location in France, The Man in the Iron Mask is the story of King Louis XIV of France and Philippe (Both played by Richard Chamberlain), his identical twin brother whom he has locked away in a dungeon, forced to wear an Iron mask to conceal his identity from the people.

To his rescue come the Musketeers, an aging group of French soldiers led by the heroic D'Artagnan (Louis Jourdan), who seeks to free Phillippe from the unjust imprisonment forced upon him by his brother the King.
