Synopsis

When American tourists get skyjacked and held hostage in Beirut, an elite team of US commandos are deployed to rescue them.

Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin lead a squadron of antiterrorist commandos into action when an American plane is forced out of the air and its passengers are held hostage by two political extremists. In the first shocking hours after the takeover, the plane circles aimlessly in the air as the terrorists make their initial demands.

For the dozens of innocent captives, the hijacking builds terror both real and imagined. Finally the plane lands in Beirut. Women and children are set free; at gunpoint, the male passengers and crew are split into two groups and moved to separate locations.

Concerned governments scramble to establish lines of diplomatic communication with the terrorists; however the United States comes up with a different strategy. Opting for action, the Americans unleash THE DELTA FORCE, an elite squad of Special Forces troops led by Colonel Nick Alexander (Lee Marvin) and Major Scott McCoy (Chuck Norris). With time running short and lives on the line, The Delta Force engages itself in a daring double rescue mission that electrifies the world.
