Biography
Born Chen Chong, Joan Chen is a Chinese American actress who first shot to fame internationally in 1987 for her portrayal of the empress Wan Jung in The Last Emperor. She has also appeared in a large amount of american television including shows such as MacGyver (1985), Miami Vice (1985), and David Lynch's classic series Twin Peaks (1990).
Some of her more recognisable film roles include Judge Dredd (1995), The Home Song Stories (2007), and Mao's Last Dancer (2009).
