Biography

A Welsh stage and film actor, Johnathan Pryce is a well known character actor with over 90 screen credits to his name. His breakout film performance would come in Terry Gilliam's 1985 cult film Brazil, where he would star alongside Robert De Nero, Bob Hoskins and Ian Holm.

He would later go on to star in Big budget films such as Evita as Juan Perón, the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) as sinister media mogul Elliot Carver, and in the 1998 film Ronin as Seamus O'Rourke, a sinister IRA operative. He has also played the role of Governor Weatherby Swann in all three of Disney's blockbuster adventure films Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003), Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006), and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007).
