Biography
An American actor who has appeared in over 40 films and more than 200 television episodes since 1962, Tom Skerritt has been nominated for two Golden Globes for his role as Sheriff Jimmy Brock on the hit television series Picket Fences (1992), as well as winning a Emmy for the same role.
Some of his more well known film appearances include the characters of Duke Forrest in the satirical war comedy MASH (1970), the character of Captain Dallas in Ridley Scott's iconic Sci-Fi Horror film Alien (1979), and as the character of Viper in the Tom Cruise film Top Gun (1986).
