Synopsis

Set in the San Joauqin valley of California in the 1870’s, ‘The Big Valley’ is the story of The Barkley’s, Stockton’s richest and most influential family, who live on the Barkley Ranch managing their cattle, mines, citrus groves and logging camps and is lead by Victoria Barkley, the head of the family.
Victoria has four children: Sons Nick and Jarrod, Audra her daughter, and step-son Heath. The families legal issues are managed by Jarrod, who is a prominent lawyer, handles all of the families legal issues, owning two successful law offices in Stockton and San Francisco.
Victoria’s other son, Nick is a burly rancher, who physically manages the family's holdings. Nick is known for being a hot head and sometimes outspoken.

Heath, Victoria's step-son, helps Nick manage the family's property. Heath is quiet, reserved and sincere but stands up for what he believes in and is proud of his roots in the Barkley family.
Victoria's youngest child is her beautiful daughter Audra. Audra is protected by all of the family members. Audra is very sensitive, caring, loves horses, and is a very talented rider.
When troubles arise, the Barkley family members are all there for each other.
