Synopsis
With an all star cast featuring Raymond Burr, Richard Chamberlain, Robert Conrad, Barbara Carrera, Richard Crenna, Donald Pleasence, Timothy Dalton, Sharon Gless, Andy Griffith, Mark Harmon, Gregory Harrison, David Janssen and more, Centennial is a 12 part American television mini series based on the novel by James A. Michener.
One of the longest and most ambitious television projects ever undertaken, the series cost US$25 million to produce and the total runtime spans approximately 26 hours.
Centennial follows the history of the fictional town of Centennial, Colorado from the late 18th century to the 1970s. It follows the paths of dozens of people who come to the area for many reasons: money, freedom, or crime. It also shows the bigoted treatment of the Native Indians by the advancing US colonists. It is topped off with a murder mystery that takes 100 years to solve.
